Empty Bowls 2017:  Thanks to all who participated in and volunteered

for this years event.  It was a spectacular, fun, success! We raised over $240,000 for the hungry in our 13-county "neighborhood.” Those funds provided 939,185 meals. Congratulations and THANK YOU. Our goal this year is to hit the one million meal mark. With your help we can do this.We are already hard at work preparing for next year.

See the next paragraph to help paint bowls for next year.

Be a part of the action:   The second Thursday of every month and the Wednesday evening before that second Thursday, the teaching studio of Hart Street Pottery, 6344 Hart St., will be open for folks who would like to paint bisque bowls for Empty Bowls 2011.  Studio time for this will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on the Wednesday evening and 10:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. on those Thursdays.  Bisque bowls and glaze will be provided.  You bring the ideas and creativity. Don’t worry if you have not had experience painting bisque, you can partner up with someone who has.  Payment of $5 per bowl is required to offset expenses. Please call ahead or e-mail to say you will be coming, especially if you are coming with a group of 4 or more. If you want to be on an e-mail reminder list, be sure to let me know. Bring a friend and join the fun.  Due to limited space/resources we are unable to accept children under 15.
